Double fold wallet

Ignore the wonky topstitching and focus on that excellently installed magnetic snap instead!

This is another pattern from Anna Graham’s Handmade Style. Initially this was planned only as a prototype but since it turned out pretty good it is now a usable muslin. All the fabrics are leftovers from other projects (outer fabric is a Cotton&Steel canvas). I also didn’t have two zippers of the same colour, so I had to go with different ones. I didn’t really change anything about the pattern except for the placement of the card slots. The design and cosntruction are quite clever. The instructions were well written and result in a pretty wallet with lots of space. The sewing was quite easy, as was the installation of the magnetic snap (I padded mine with interfacing to make it last longer just as described in this post.). The only thing I found hard was the topstitching. Mine is about as far away from straight and clean looking as can be.

Please acknowledge the very talented male hand model.
