I am more of a cardigan type but I still thought a basic sweater wouldn’t be a bad addition to my wardrobe. This is my first Bloom Sweatshirt (La Maison Victor May/June 2017) made with a very soft and drapey Stoff&Stil brushed sweat fabric.
This was a pretty straightforward project, three main pattern pieces and three rectangles for binding, that’s it. I stitched it up on my regular machine, checked the fit and then serged the whole jumper. My chest measurements put me in a size 40, so I went with that. In the end, I took it in a centimetre from the elbows to the waist (4 centimetres total). I also shortened the sleeves by a centimetre. It is quite a relaxed fit, which is not what I usually go for, but I quite like snuggling up in it.
I had ordered 1,30 metres of fabric and had enough leftovers to make a pair of size 62/68 baby pants (my second version of Jim by La Maison Victor).
